Dibond

A light-weight composite panel with excellent characteristics for interior and exterior applications. A durable panel, with high resistance to corrosion, good dimensional stability, and minimal thermal expansion.

The top layer consists of 0.33 mm aluminum; the core is polyethylene. Easy to work and to mount. Depending on requirements and loads, the panels can be glued or screwed in place. Also suitable for 3-D applications using a routing-and-folding technique and bending around circular forms.

Panel widths: 1,000 mm, 1,250 mm, 1,500 mm, 2,050 mm.

Panel lengths: 2,050 mm, 3,050 mm, 4,050 mm, 5,050 mm, 6,250 mm.

Panel thicknesses: 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm.

Weight (Kg/mm²) according to panel thickness (mm):
2 mm > 2.90 kg/m²
3 mm > 3.80 kg/m²
4 mm > 4.75 kg/m²
6 mm > 6.60 kg/m²

Building-materials class: B2 and B1 (DIN 4102-1).

Bond with metal adhesive or neutral, all-purpose adhesive. For flexible glue joints, use a single-component sealing compound (Sika Bond T2). In applications less demanding of tensile strength and shear strength, Velcro™ strips (Scotchmate™) or reclosable fasteners (Dual Lock™) may be used.
